Right of way
What happens to the right of way when the ball is deflected, when a player hits it towards an opponent, and when a player hits it past an opponent riding alongside.
If one or more players are riding along the line of the ball and for any reason it is deflected unexpectedly, creating a new line, those players, if they carry on along the original line for a short distance, have right of way. If any of the players involved in the play, or another player, takes the new line, the players on the previous line have right of way but may not play the ball.

Si uno o varios jugadores vienen corriendo en la línea de la bocha y ésta por cualquier razón es desviada imprevistamente, creando una nueva línea, los mismos, si continúan en la línea originaria por un corto trecho, tienen derecho de paso. Si alguno de los jugadores involucrados en la jugada u otro jugador toma la nueva línea, los jugadores en la línea anterior tienen derecho de paso no pudiendo jugar la bocha.
Where a player in possession of the ball abruptly changes its direction, hitting it towards a player of the opposing side, the latter player has right of way, may ride out, or may play the ball on the new line without that being an infringement.

En el caso que un jugador en posesión de la bocha cambie bruscamente la dirección de la misma, pegándole hacia un jugador del bando contrario, este último jugador tiene derecho de paso, de salida o puede jugar la bocha sobre la nueva línea sin que ello constituya infracción.
Where a player hits the ball forward past the opposing player, on the same line and at the same speed, the latter is entitled to hit an offside backhand, provided he does not commit a cross: the other player may only regain the ball by coming in on the nearside.

En el supuesto en que un jugador adelante la bocha superando al jugador contrario, en la misma línea y a la misma velocidad, éste queda habilitado a pegar backhander por derecha, siempre que no cometa un cruce: el otro jugador solo podrá hacerse nuevamente de la bocha, entrando de revés.
