Girone all'italiana
The three-team format the USPA discourages but allows, and how its winner is found.
When it may be used
I gironi all'italiana non sono un formato di torneo auspicabile. Tuttavia, se un evento ha solo tre squadre iscritte e vincoli di tempo, il meteo o altre condizioni avverse impediscono un formato alternativo, un girone all'italiana può essere usato come evento unico da giocare in un solo giorno.

Round Robins are not desirable as a tournament format. However, if an event has only three teams entered and time constraints, weather, or other adverse conditions prevent an alternate format, a Round Robin may be used as a single event to be played in one day.

Winner
Il vincitore del girone all'italiana è la squadra con il miglior bilancio di vittorie e sconfitte, se tale squadra esiste. Per determinare il miglior bilancio di vittorie e sconfitte, una vittoria vale 2 punti, un pareggio vale 1 punto e una sconfitta vale 0 punti. In caso di parità nel bilancio di vittorie e sconfitte al termine del girone all'italiana, l'ordine di arrivo è determinato in base alla differenza reti nelle due partite giocate, se decisiva; oppure ai gol segnati nelle due partite giocate se la differenza reti non è decisiva; oppure, se né la differenza reti né i gol segnati sono decisivi, si procede a uno shootout come previsto dalla Regola Outdoor 14.d della USPA; tuttavia, per determinare più rapidamente l'esito del girone all'italiana, partecipa un solo giocatore per ciascuna delle squadre in parità.

The winner of the Round Robin shall be the team with the best won-lost record, if there is such a team. In determining the best won-lost record, a win will count as 2 points, a tie will count as 1 point, and a loss will count as 0 points. In the event of a won/lost tie at the end of the Round Robin, the order of finish shall be determined based on net goals in both games played, if conclusive; or gross goals in both games played if net goals is inconclusive; or if both net goals and gross goals are inconclusive, a shootout as set forth in USPA Outdoor Rule 14.d shall be followed, however in order determine the outcome of the Round Robin more quickly, only one player from each of the tied teams shall participate.
Order of games
Ogni squadra gioca due partite, affrontando una volta ciascuna delle altre squadre. Le due squadre che giocano la prima partita sono decise per sorteggio. La seconda partita è tra la perdente della prima partita e la squadra rimasta ferma nella prima partita. La terza partita è tra la squadra rimasta ferma nella prima partita e la squadra rimasta ferma nella seconda partita.

Each team shall play in two games, playing each other team one game. The two teams to play in the first game shall be decided by lot. The second game shall be between the loser of the first game and the team idled in the first game. The third game shall be between the team idled in the first game and the team idled in the second game.
