Rule 19 · AAP Reglas de Juego 2026
Buried or damaged ball
A buried ball means a throw-in unless a player gets it out first; a broken ball means a throw-in, a retaken penalty or a fair play.
If the ball is buried, the umpire, at his discretion, shall have play stopped and make a throw-in, but if before he does so a player manages to move it, the umpire must let play continue.
Original text
If the ball breaks in a neutral play, the referee shall stop play and award a throw-in. If the ball breaks while a penalty or foul is being taken, it shall be taken again. If the ball breaks in a play where a player has clear possession, a Fair Play may be awarded.
Original text
