Ball out over the side lines or boards: the side-line hit-in
In Argentina a ball out over the side goes to the other team, who hit it in from 5 yards inside the boards after an 8-second count, with opponents 30 yards away.
If the ball goes out of play over the side lines or the boards, whoever sent the ball off the field must hand possession to the opposing team, which means the opposing team's hit-in as described below:

Si la bocha sale de juego por las líneas laterales o las tablas, quien tira la bocha fuera de la cancha debe entregar la posesión al equipo contrario, ello significa el saque del equipo contrario como se describe a continuación:
When the ball goes out over the side lines, play is restarted by the team that did not send the ball out. The Umpire must place the ball 5 yards from the board, level with where it went out, and shall begin counting 8 seconds aloud from the moment the ball goes out over the boards. Once the 8 seconds have passed, he shall place the ball and “give the order to play”, and the team shall have 5 seconds to put it into play. If it does not play it within the regulation time, the umpire shall blow the whistle and award a throw-in on the spot. The player may play the ball to himself.

Cuando la bocha sale por los laterales, repone el juego el equipo que no tiró la bocha afuera. El Juez deberá ubicar la bocha a 5 yardas de la tabla, a la altura de donde salió y comenzará a contar en voz alta 8 segundos desde el momento en que la bocha sale por sobre las tablas. Una vez transcurridos los 8 segundos, ubicará la bocha y “dará la orden de juegue” y tendrá 5 segundos para ponerla en juego. Si no la jugara en el tiempo reglamentario el juez hará sonar el silbato y otorgará un throw-in en el lugar. El jugador puede jugarse la bocha.

The last stick to touch the ball is what determines who sent it out. The opposing team restarts.

If the ball goes out within the 60-yard zone and it was the defending team that sent it out, the Umpire shall, after the 8 seconds, place the ball on the 60-yard line, 10 yards from the board on the side where it went out. Play shall restart with a single stroke, either at goal or a short or long pass to a player 30 yards or more ahead of the one putting the ball into play; but the player charged with restarting play may in no case carry the ball on and/or go after the ball.

Si la bocha saliera dentro de la zona de las 60 yardas y fuera el equipo que está en defensa quien la tiró afuera, el Juez pondrá, a partir de los 8 segundos, la bocha en la línea de 60 yardas y a 10 yardas de la tabla del lado de donde salió. El juego se reanudará de un golpe ya sea al arco o un pase corto o largo a un jugador que este a 30 yardas o más adelante de quien pone la bocha en juego; pero sin poder llevársela jugando y/o ir a buscar la bocha en ningún caso quien tenía el mandato de iniciar el juego.
