The size of the field, its lines, the safety and run-off areas, the goals, the boards and the markings.

Un terrain de jeu de taille réglementaire mesure 300 yards de long sur 160 à 200 yards de large s'il n'a pas de planches ; et 300 yards de long sur 160 yards de large s'il est bordé de planches sur les côtés. Les fonds n'ont pas de planches.

A full-sized playing field shall be 300 yards in length by 160 yards to 200 yards in width if unboarded; and 300 yards in length by 160 yards in width if boarded on the sides. The ends shall be unboarded.
The USPA field from above: 300 yards long, boards along the sides only, an 8-yard goal in the middle of each end line, and the marks at the centre and on the 30-, 40- and 60-yard lines - Side boards, no higher than 11 in; without boards the sides are lines 160 to 200 yd apart
- Goal: the middle 8 yd of the end line, posts at least 10 ft high
- End lines: never boarded
- Centre mark
- At each end, the 30-, 40- and 60-yard lines marked at both edges and the centre
- Run-off area: what happens here is treated as if on the field; at least 10 yd recommended along the sides
Side lines and safety side zone
Les limites sur les côtés du terrain sont appelées planches latérales ou lignes de côté. Le Comité organisateur du tournoi désigne une zone latérale de sécurité à l'extérieur des lignes de côté du terrain de jeu et parallèle à celles-ci, dont la largeur minimale recommandée est de 10 yards. Si un joueur frappe intentionnellement et/ou imprudemment une balle hors de la zone de sécurité, une pénalité est accordée à l'équipe adverse et le fautif s'expose aux sanctions disciplinaires de la Règle 33.

The boundaries on the sides of the field shall be known as the side boards or sidelines. The Host Tournament Committee will designate a safety side zone outside and parallel to the sidelines of the playing field that is recommended to be a minimum of 10 yards. If a player intentionally and/or recklessly hits a ball outside of the safety zone a penalty shall be awarded to the opposing team and the offender is subject to Rule 33 disciplinary sanctions.
End lines and goal lines
Les limites aux extrémités du terrain sont appelées lignes de fond, à l'exception de la partie située entre les poteaux de but, qui est appelée ligne de but.

Side boards
Les planches latérales, si elles sont utilisées, ne doivent pas dépasser 11 pouces de hauteur. Il est permis d'utiliser des pièces de bois triangulaires au pied des planches latérales, du côté du terrain de jeu, pour dévier la balle des planches latérales. Ces pièces ne doivent pas dépasser 3 pouces de large ni 3 pouces de haut.

Side boards, if used, shall not exceed 11 inches in height. It is permissible to use triangular pieces of wood at the bottom of the side boards toward the playing field to deflect the ball from the side boards. These pieces shall not be over 3 inches wide nor more than 3 inches high.

Markings
Le terrain devrait être clairement marqué au centre et sur toutes les limites dépourvues de planches latérales, ainsi qu'aux extrémités et au centre des lignes des 30, 40 et 60 yards à chaque bout du terrain.
